There were five bags of dried fruit and nut mix and yogurt in the food distribution this month. Of course, the easiest is to put a handful of the mix into the yogurt for breakfast in the mornings. We have a large container of oatmeal at the house. We used half of one bag of mix to four cups of oatmeal, 1/4 a cup of brown sugar, and four tablespoons of Karo syrup together in a bowl. Place the mixed ingredients in a large cookie sheet and press down. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for a half hour. Cut some of the granola into bars and crumble the other half. Use the bars for snacks, the crumbled granola for your morning yogurt.
