Durham wheat noodles in last weeks' food drop. You can do a lot with pasta. One of the food drops had cream of chicken soup and turkey burger. Sauté the turkey burger, cook some of the pasta and drain it. Put the noodles, the chicken soup, and the turkey burger in a casserole dish. Add some canned or frozen peas and one cup of water. Stir together and cover. Bake in the oven for about 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.

An earlier food drop also included cans of tuna fish, making it easy to do a tuna casserole. Last months food drop had a big giant bag of meatballs. This week included a bag of shredded Italian cheese and a can of spaghetti sauce. We will use some of the pasta, the meatballs, cheese and sauce together to make an Italian style casserole.

Just those three recipes will feed two people nine meals. We used a half a bag of peas at a cost of .50. A bag of peas cost $1.00.
