It was a treat to receive a perfectly ripe cantaloupe at the food drop this week. Other fresh foods were a salad mix, a bag of apples, a bag of taters a bag of onions, and several sweet potatoes. We cook up a half dozen potatoes and 3 or 4 sweet potatoes at a time. They are great for supper or to make hashbrowns for breakfast. Most of the winter, the food drops this year also had butternut squash and a large bag of huge carrots. Those lasted all winter even though we've been using them in recipes daily. Giving thanks.
